## The original idea

Univonest is an agentic marketplace for cross-category procurement. The product includes secondhand goods, storage rental, and US/China procurement in a bilingual marketplace.

## Why I started it

The personal origin story has not yet been recorded here. This page begins with what was built rather than inventing the motivation behind it.

## What we built

The marketplace combines seller verification, real-time chat workflows, and map-based spatial discovery. Its negotiation system includes a fine-tuned negotiation agent and deterministic guardrails.

Approximately 700 users. Univonest was selected for the Fuel Accelerator at the Johns Hopkins Pava Center.

## Technical problems

The negotiation system includes stall detection and latency telemetry. Those are distinct concerns: one tracks whether a negotiation is making progress, while the other records how long system operations take. Deterministic guardrails constrain the negotiation process alongside the model.

## What users taught us

Specific user observations have not yet been added. The user count alone does not establish what people valued or which workflows worked well.

## How the idea changed

A verified account of pivots, experiments, and abandoned ideas remains to be added.
